Medium Season 6 Premiere Plotline

Allison is slowly, sporadically regaining both her physical abilities and her psychic talents. Unfortunately, she becomes more confused then enlightened when her “gift” re-emerges as a strange form of deja-vu, that hinders rather than helps her in her investigation of newscaster SOPHIE CULLEN’s alleged stalker, PETER WINANT…

[SOPHIE CULLEN] Late 20s to early 30s, extremely attractive, confident, appealing, Sophie Cullen is a news reporter for a local TV station. Driven, ambitious, self-serving and meticulous, Sophie has recently married her station manager, the middle aged, wealthy Dan Talbott, who alerts Scanlon and Devalos that Sophie has a stalker, a man named Peter Winant who’s been videotaping her in both professional and personal situations. Sophie appears to be genuinely traumatized after Peter Winant allegedly breaks into her home, kills Dan and rapes her. [PETER WINANT] In his early to mid 40s, heavyset, unkempt, Peter is an obsessive fan of young, beautiful newscaster Sophie Cullen, to whom he’s been sending videotapes he’s made of her in both professional and personal settings. Visited by Scanlon and Allison after Sophie’s husband complains, Peter is stunned by their arrival and confesses that he and Sophie are in love, having an affair, and plan to tell her husband eventually. Though it seems as if Peter is delusional, in fact he and Sophie are having a relationship (of sorts) and he truly believes that she loves him. [DAN TALBOT] In his late 40s to early 50s, dapper, intelligent, decent, wealthy, the station manager of a local TV station, an old friend of Devalos, Dan Talbot has recently married much younger newscaster Sophie Cullen. [DREW IMBROTH] Around 40, with a kind of corporate confidence about him, but engaging and genuine, Drew Imbroth is the father of one of Marie’s classmates. A corporate headhunter who specializes in green technology hiring, Drew approaches Joe in the school parking lot, having heard about his solar cell invention from his son, Tanner. With respect and sensitivity, Drew suggests that Joe might want a bit of job security in between inventions, and that Drew will have no problem finding a company that will hire him…1 DAY GUEST STAR (45)

[TANNER IMBROTH] This very serious looking 6 year old little boy in Marie’s class on Career Day listens to Joe’s discussion of what it’s like to be an inventor. He stops Joe in his tracks with his persistent question, “But what if you never have another idea?”…CO-STAR (30)
